It went from discovering amazing things about the world around us to vocabulary cards, studying for tests, and slogging through fat chapters of verbose text. My son is only in 5th grade but we are using this text which states it's for 7th grade. The science text is fantastic and helps transition students from elementary studies to higher level science. People are probably more opposed to science because it usually comes at it from such a evolutionary, atheistic perspective, and this book shows that that does not have to be the case. Wiley is brilliant and writes in a conversational style, so it doesn't read like a dry text book but like a teacher who is talking to you. Related Products The 2 books in this set include the Student Textbook and Solutions and Test Manual for Exploring Creation with General Science. Its scope, therefore, is quite wide. Jay Wile learned about his love for chemistry when his dedicated parents bought him his first chemistry set.

Many stink bombs and a few explosions later, he was hooked! As he was finishing up his high school years, he became extremely interested in the theater and began to pursue a career in acting. I just don't see a valid reason to make a 7th or 8th grader work through a textbook just as fat and as much work as a highschool one with far less depth. Designed to be a student's first systematic introduction to the sciences, Exploring Creation with General Science, 2nd Ed. Wile does an excellent job of explaining the way to make assertions about discoveries and archaeology using the internal, external, and bibliographic tests. Wile has done it again.
